Purpose:

To provide financial assistance to individuals and/or families in addressing medical and/or health care, where there is a serious need.

Who is eligible?

(a) A person who needs to receive medical treatment and does not have the financial means to do so. The relevant application is examined, after a report of the medical council and other information for the Ministry of Health, is attained, and;

(b) A person who needs to go abroad for medical treatment abroad and does not have the financial resources to cover the accommodation and travel expenses for an accompanying person. The application is examined, after contacting the Ministry of Health or the Social Welfare Services to verify the facts of the case.
