Purpose:

The entertainment of the Elderly and Vulnerable Groups who reside in Hospices and other institutions for the elderly.

The ultimate goal is the ‘activation’ of these people and the effort on the part of the volunteers to improve their daily routine mood and avoid potential fall into depression, via a diversified range of the activities.

The selection, as to which elderly nursing Hospices and/or institutions would be included in the programmes, is carried out after an assessment needs’ survey of these places, which are located in Nicosia and/or Greater Nicosia area. The excursions which are organized (with a maximum number of 50 people), include guided tours, musical soirees, an outing for a meal or theatre through music, food and other forms of entertainment.

Additionally, the Branch organises visits to these institutions and plan other various activities, such as handicrafts etc.
